Shopping [at the bookstore] is Like a Cure For Disappointment
I know I'm not supposed to be using the computer, but I'm at Yu Wen's house and I got permission from my mom, so it's fine. Our gymnastics class was cancelled yesterday because they said if we went we'd be joining the really little kids, so they didn't want to waste our time that way. I was really upset about it when I got the SMS from my mom when I checked my phone after school. I was looking so forward to it, and it was CANCELLED. But I felt a whole lot better when Mom took me shopping at The Gardens (connected to Mid Valley) and brought me to Borders. I bought the 3rd volume of Vampire Knight and 10 volume of Skip Beat!. The guys in VK are SO hot, and SB is really, really interesting and funny. I didn't really mind missing gymnastics for that. Not really. Then we went to the address, this shop selling freakishly expensive but pretty things. My mom bought a lamp there. It's a little gross, the lamp. I think it's made of ceramic or something, with small white-and-blue tiles studded on the whole thing, making an irregular pattern when you put the lamp over the bulb. It's in the shape of a lady's body (no clothes!), from the neck to the thighs, and hands that are cut off after the shoulders. It's hollow on the inside, so you put it over this dark piece of wood with a light bulb on it, and the statue/lamp lights up. Reminds me of this famous statue I saw on TV, but I don't know what it's called. We went for our first official gymnastics class just now and it was fun! Although I have to admit that the trial lesson was for some reason a little better. Embarrassing that I can't do a split (not even close to one; there are 2 kinds of splits and I practiced the other one). But oh well. I'll learn. At least I can do a bridge, right? Learned it a long time ago. JoAnne and F. Sher-Lyn taught me.I've got to go home now. Too bad I can't stay longer. Bye!Labels: gymnastics, skip beat, the gross lamp, vampire knight
