[This is an unfinished post from two days ago - I'm sorry! I'm sorry! - so I'm just continuing it. Forgive all the present tense words when they're supposed to be in past tense]
Hi! I just came back from Singapore. Wonder how party day was. I couldn't go because I went to Singapore, but usually party day is the same all the time - eat, talk, play, go home.
Friday:
Went to Singapore. Stayed at The Regent hotel with my cousins and our aunt and uncle from America (Justine and Jacqueline's parents). Me and YuWen shared a room. We exercised of the carpet floor and practiced our splits and handstands (YuWen's mom showed us how to practice for it) and others.
Our room
The lovely vieww... NOT. But oh well...
We (me, YuWen, Rachel, and some of the female adults) went to the salon to curl our hair! Ugh. My curls looked really... not soft and natural, but YuWen's and Rachel's did. But sadly, YuWen's curls wore off in like 2 hours after she curled it, and Rachel washed her hair. I kept mine for 3 days (2-something, actually) and washed them on the 3rd day.
Saturday:
Me and YuWen's morning dresses. See? We match!
My Mom's morning dress
YAYYY! Our cousin, Yen Yen (today we found out she chose her English name to be... Dorcas. Dorcas Hong) got married today! My curls look much better than yesterday and more natural now. We got to wear 2 different dresses today! First, YuWen and I wore similar dresses to the church where the wedding took place in the morning. Soooo sweet! Kuang Seng (Dorcas' husband) sang to her today! He has a nice voice.
Our cousin, Sarah (Rachel's sister) in the bus on the way to church. Isn't she cuteeee? Don't be deceived though. She can be quite a fierce baby. She scratched me and YuWen and laughed. =.= But she also held up her foot for us to blow because her feet were too hot. Everytime we stopped blowing, she held up her foot again. Soooo cute!
Yen Yen (or Dorcas) and Kuang Seng. Isn't she pretty?
from left: Jessica, Rachel, Daniel, and Sarah. Soooo cute!! Sarah is, like, the cutest baby ever!
Then back to the hotel. We wanted to use the Internet on our laptops, but Internet access cost, like, RM30 an hour. So we went to Starbucks in a mall right beside the hotel and used the Internet there. YuWen and I could walk alone to the mall and buy chocolates and sweets because it was so near. XD I love chocolate.
Then before the wedding dinner at night, we went to one of the adults' rooms and found my mom, (I'll just call my aunts by their first names here because if I don't, you'll get confused), Meng Meng (YuWen's mom), Tiffany (Justine's mom), Jessica (Rachel's mom), Oi Lan (Tuan Tuan's mom), and my grandmother in the room with 2 female strangers and a lot of makeup on the floor and table. And I mean A LOT. The two ladies (women/girls?) were hired to do their makeup for them.
YuWen and my dinner dresses
We ate at this nice place that looks kind of Victorian-y.
The dinner place.
[Some of] the adults. YuWen's dad, Gary, is missing.
Rachel and the other flower girl collecting flowers outside on the lawn of the dinner place. Chijmes, I think it was called. Yeah. Chijmes.
Ugh. I'm too lazy to tell you all this in detail, so...
Sunday:
We went shopping and I finally bought some clothes at Esprit and this other shop, and got a (Singapore money) $100 voucher.
Monday:
Bought a bag with the voucher. Blah, blah, blah. Went home.
Today (Wednesday):
Eee! I was really panicked about gymnastics yesterday, because of all the videos I watched, with all the muscular girls. And I also found out from the Internet that gymnastics makes you 10 times more muscular than cheerleading.
But I might not be able to go for gym (I'll just call it that for short) if my Mom has no time to fetch me. And also if there are not enough people registered for Monday. But I hope I can!! Prayyyyyyyy... And WeeYen said he has this friend-who-is-a-girl who has been taking gym for 4 years, and she's 16 now, and she's not super muscular, she's curvy. Or something.
I have to admit, that made me feel a whole lot better. I mean, 4 years = not super muscular. Then I guess we should be okay. A little muscle wouldn't hurt, though. Better than superflabby-ness. But too much isn't very nice.
I hope enough people will register for Monday classes in Solaris, so we can go. I really, really, really want to do gymnastics. It's SO cool. I hope the teacher won't force us too much, because our nerves might not be able to take it. Forcing a little is okay, or we'll be stuck in Level 1 for like, ever. But forcing too much is bad. Bad, bad, baaaad.
Oh wow. Look at this video. It's a gymnastics girl from America's Got Talent who archers with her feet, while standing on her hands. Omg.
And these are gymnastics videos... they're kind of scary, if you're gonna probably learn gymnastics (which I am). Because all these cruel coaches, broken limbs, accidents... O_O Er... Okay so anyway...
Okay, I didn't say I thought gymnastics was easy. It's just that I didn't know they were this hard.
Ahh! This blog is interesting! I bet you guys will fall asleep with excitement before you finish this paragraph!
I'm being sarcastic, okay? Gosh. I find blogging boring nowadays, so as a result, my blog is boring. I found out that Hazel posted our GRC cheerleading on Youtube today. Darn. I wish she didn't do that.
I found this really cool cheerleading stunts video on Youtube just now. It's guaranteed to make you guys go green with envy. I totally want to learn that, but I don't think I can.
There! Isn't it cool? I wish we could be like that. Everyone would be SO flabbergasted, and it'd be so much fun (and scary and dangerous, but still)! YuWen and I still haven't gone to Solaris for our trial gymnastics class yet. Gosh. I wonder how long we'll have to wait.
And there's this really nice song. Rolling Star from Bleach (5th opening), performed by Yui. It's soooo nice. I printed out the lyrics but they're kinda hard to memorize, so I'll have to keep trying. And trying and trying and trying.
Oh sorry. Gotta go take my passport pic for Singapore cause we're leaving on Friday. Bye!
* * * * * (this is not a bad word) Okay, I'm back. School is getting superbly boring. Ugh. It's so boring I even wish I had my Math book, just for a change.
Oh yeah, and I'm obviously done with my ballet exam. I took off my glasses for it, since they kept slipping down, so I couldn't see the examiner's face. There was just this blurry peachy mass where her face should be and some brownish fuzzy things around the peachy mass, which was her hair, by the way.
Her hair stopped being fuzzy and her face blurry when I put my glasses back on. I did the pivots... okay. Not great. Not horrible. Actually, they were not-so-okay. But oh well. The passing mark is 40. I hope I pass!
Omg, guys, I love this tag! It's more fun than most tags... You should definitely do this!!

Sorry for not updating... I've been pretty lazy to blog. Anyway, I looked through our old picture albums, and some of them are so funny! I should really post them here sometime. There's a picture of JiaHe in a witch's hat and fake, tangled black hair, and a blue butterfly shirt and a skirt.
I was also wearing a witch's hat and fake hair, but he looked more like a girl than I did. Lol! And there are some other pictures of JiaHe, the damsel dumbo in distress (just kidding! I'm not so mean as that) when he was, I don't know, maybe 2-3 years old. He was in a pram and couldn't get his legs down, so his face was all red and scrunched up and he was screaming, and I was just standing there and smiling.
Ballet exam tomorrow. Ugh. Scary. Pivots are hard... I don't know what to post...
Rachel is so cute! I'll tell you more about my day tomorrow. It's late now.
,8:18 AM
Dress-Shopping...?
Sorry for not updating! I've just been too lazy. You guys know that I went to sleepover at YuWen's house 2 (or 3) days ago, right, so we could go for the gymnastics trial? Well, we didn't. Because there was no electricity at Solaris (the gymnastics place). =.='
I went to KLCC on Tuesday to find a dress for my cousin's wedding in Singapore. There were these two dresses - one green and one pink, and I couldn't decide because both of them needed altering if I bought them, and I'm not sure if they can alter the pink one.
Nice.
My stuff need altering. Again. You know what? I should just start eating more. Eat more. I think I can manage that. Not too much, though, or I might vomit all over someone's shoes in school.
Dress-shopping was frustrating. We went to eat some not-very-good food at the food court (we were so tired), then went to Kinokuniya. I wasn't that tired anymore when I went to Kinokuniya, which is a big, big bookstore, by the way. I bought - guess what? - High School Debut Vol. 3! I tried calling Tash because she told me to call her if HSD 3 was out, but I couldn't call her.
She lost her handphone. Her house phone didn't ring sometimes.
Oh well. We're going to 3K tomorrow to practice for the band and cheerleading. Kinda embarrassing... =.= I'm going dress-shopping again later with my aunt and grandma.
I gave a Happy Mother's Day card to my Mom this morning that I had made last night. After she read it, she came over to me (I was in my room), and asked if I had cried while writing it. I said, "Nooooo. Why?" Then she was like, "Because it's so gan dong!" which means "touching" in Chinese.
Me: O_O ... Really?
Anyway, we went for a Happy Mother's Day lunch today at the Great Eastern Mall with my aunts and uncles. I have never been there until today, but I think that's what it's called. I don't really like the mall, though. We ate at this Japanese restaurant called Daidomon.
It was expensive, but not very nice. Ugh. Wasted money. Someone recommended it to one of my aunts, so she recommended it to us. The only desserts were fruits and ice cream. FRUITS AND ICE CREAM, and nothing else. My gosh. When my Mom asked the waiter and he said there were only that for dessert, my Mom gave me this sympathetic look (I was really craving some good dessert), and I was like O_O.
Oh well... And the small Mother's Day cake that I really wanted to eat, and had mistaken for chocolate cake, was actually green tea-flavored. Pfft. That's just gross. My aunt, Diana, fed a tiny bit to her baby, Li Yen, and the baby actually made a grossed-out face and spat it out on her bib.
Lol. Anyway, Be Chim (YuWen's mom) is going to fetch me from school tomorrow and drive me to Solaris, a place where people learn gymnastics, where me and YuWen are going to have this trial to see how it's like. They told me that even the 5-, 6-year-olds there can do handstands! Omg. How totally embarrassing for us.
And omg, Prince Caspian is showing on May 15! Yay! I can't wait to watch it. I loooooove Narnia. I can't wait to watch Twilight either.
8:24PM Change of plans. My Dad is going to fetch me tomorrow at 3:30PM instead, and I am going to sleepover at YuWen's house! Yayyy! I like sleeping over at their condo in Mont' Kiara. We might be able to go to Kiara Mart. I like Kiara Mart. And they live on like the 20-something-th floor, so there are hardly any mosquitoes.
I just told YuWen I am sleeping over at her house.
Me: I'm sleeping over at your house tomorrow. YuWen: Huh? Really ah? Me: Yeah. YuWen: WHeeeeEEeeeEEeeeeeEeeEeeeeEeEe!!!!!!!! Me: Crazy ah?! YuWen: Really ah? Promise????
Lol! She is so funny. You should really hear the way she shouted.
You know, since I posted the Club Med post and pictures, I've gotten more comments on my Cbox (who knows why?). 2 of the comments are from 2 people that I don't even know personally. I know they're from Sri KDU though, since ShiHao keeps telling people about the picture of his sandy boobs on my blog.
OMG! The Twilight poster that Chanelle sent me! I can't wait for the movie! Sadly, Zoe (Zoe Tai, mind you, Tash, not Ng), another Twilight fan, can't watch it with us because she's migrating *gloom* to Australia in November, and Twilight is coming out on December the 12th.
Well, then, I guess I'll watch it with Emily, Melissa, and Tash (I mean, you know, if you guys want to). Maybe Chanelle. I don't know. It depends if she wants to or not. Maybe YuWen will want to watch it, too! She doesn't know what Twilight is about, but I like to have her around and she likes to have me around, since we are each others' best cousins.
Hmm... Robert Pattinson is kind of hot. I'm reeeeally looking forward to the movie. I'm in love with Twilight!
You know, what I've noticed recently is that Malaysians usually have flattish noses, and Americans usually have kind of sharp noses, but they have bumps on them. I don't know how this post suddenly changed from Twilight to peoples' noses. Maybe it's because I noticed Robert and Kristen's (the girl who plays Bella) noses on the poster...?
Okay, who cares. I am so so so looking forward to that movie! 7 more months! Ack. But I guess I can wait. Not that I have a choice.
I bought this book called A Message From God by Retha and Aldo McPherson. I saw an article about the story in A Message From God in The Star newspaper several days ago. You should read it. The book, I mean. I doubt you still keep old newspapers around.
Omgomg I soooo cannot wait for the movie to come out! I'm SO excited. YAYYYYY!!! Oh gosh. I'm probably going to get more obsessive than before now.
Ahhh! I wanna watch it the FIRST day it comes out. I'll book tickets on the Internet.
Robert Pattinson looks so hot when he smiles at the end. His voice is pretty... low. OMG!! I CAN'T WAIT!! EMILY!!!!!! Wanna go watch together???? Zoe can come too! And Tash! Since we are all Twilight fans!
My love for Twilight and Edward Cullen (not Robert Pattison, though) has just been revived.
Friday is always very tiring. After school, I have to go for my piano lessons from 4:30-5:15PM, then I have to go for ballet from 6-7:30PM. Ugh. Ballet is difficult. I'm hopeless at pirouettes. I keep spinning madly out of control.
My goshhhh... Saturday is worse. I have to follow my brothers for their tuition and wait for them for who knows how long, go for ballet again, then church, wait one hour for my brothers' church to end, and then go home.
Sighhh...
My cousin, Rachel (you know, the cute little girl in the green-blue-and-black swimsuit in my Club Med post), is at my house right now. She's 6 years old, and she's sleeping over here. She always sleeps over. I was a bit worried about her reaction when she saw the new, fur-shaved-off Serafin, so I was pretty surprised when said the opposite of what I expected.
She said Serafin looked cute and she liked how he looked. When I asked her if she could choose for Serafin to have long hair or to be shaved, she said she liked both haircuts equally, but she knew that he had to be shaved to prevent skin diseases, so she chose "shaved".
I started seeing Serafin a little differently after that. I didn't see him as "bald", "ridiculous", and "odd"; I see him now as "cute" and "easier to pet and hug because now I can see if there's anything dirty in his fur".
Rachel keeps saying "Aw, man!". She said it like, so many times today. Ever since she watched 1 or 2 episodes of Ben Ten, she's started saying it. Lolz.
Jessica shared today at chapel. I really like it when she shares. So funny. She was like pretending to be someone writing in her diary... "Today... he smiled at me!!!!" then "Today... he... he... he got a girlfriend!" then "Today... he got a guyfriend! Oh, no, he's GAY!"
Pshaw. Lol. Then she was acting out a scenario from a movie:
Man: *rushes to a cab* Hurry! HURRY!!!! He reaches the hospital. Man: Hurry! Hurry! There's a child coming! Lady: Huh? You are registering? Man: Someone's in LABOR! Lady: Who's in labor? You? Man: No, my wife!! Lady: Where's your wife? Man: Aiya! At home...
Lolll... haha. There was another true-life one when her friend forgot his wife and left her in the car, and she was super mad. But I'm too tired to type that so there. Sorry.
OMG. Something really, really disgusting happened this morning. Starting now, I will check the bathroom floor before I go inside. Well, I should tell you guys what happened, right? Not for people with weak stomaches, though.
When I stepped into my bathroom this morning, there was this loud pop! and something burst under my feet. Some liquid spurted on my right ankle. At first I thought it was a water balloon or something, so I wasn't too worried. Then I looked down (I wasn't wearing my glasses, so I couldn't see clearly) and saw this brown blur on the floor.
Then I realized exactly what I had stepped on and made explode.
A cockroach.
O M G. I was too scared to even scream, so I went, "Oh God, oh God, oh God," (Forgive me, Father, for I have broken the third commandment) and walked quickly over to the basin. I hoisted myself up and put my feet into the basin and let the water run over them. Then I started screaming, "DADDY! DAAAAADDYYYYYY!!!"
It sounds so weird, right, screaming for my Dad. But if you were as afraid of cockroaches as me, and had unintentionally made one explode - with your bare foot - like a bloody bomb, you'd do that too. Then my Dad came in and I asked him to clean the mess up. He was actually laughing when I told him what happened. So did my Mom. Well, I suppose it is pretty funny the way I was so freaked out and dramatic about it (my Mom said, "Aiyo. You crazy ah? Like that also scared. Sup sup sui.").
OMGOMGOMG. Scary, right??? Ugh. UGH!! Serafin was shaved today at the grooming place because my Mom didn't want him to get a skin disease because she said that Cocker Spaniels got diseases very easily if they always played around in the dirt (like Serafin always does), so they just shaved all the hair off. Oh my gosh. He looks like an oversized Chihuahua or something. Ack! I must train him to live inside. Maybe then he can grow his hair back.
I must also train him to poop on newspaper... It's harder than it sounds. He likes to tear newspaper apart and he likes to rummage around in dustbins and steal socks. Omg. WHY??? I have dog TREATS for him and he goes to GARBAGE. A little batty, he is maybe. And why socks? He even took one of my maid's friend's boss' socks. Of course my maid gave it back to her when she realized.
If you guys know any good ways to train a dog to poop where you tell them, not rip newspaper, stay away from garbage, and not play in the dirt, tell me in my Cbox, on MSN, or real life! Pleeeease I beggeth thee.
Today was the day of the Cross Country Race! Me, Bee Bee, and Grace had this plan: we'd stop right before the gate, count to 3, then step across it at the exact same time so we'd get the same place.
We ran 3km together. We were so tired - well, at least I was - and my feet felt like they were burning. We drank a bit of Brendan Cher's water because he brought his bottle along. Lol. Who can run with a bottle?
At the end, though, nearing the gate, I saw - or I think I saw - Bee Bee speed up, and then Grace, so I got anxious that they were forgetting the plan so I ran quickly, too. I got 2nd place. Bee Bee got 3rd. Grace got 4th. I went downstairs and stumbled around like a drunk person because I was so tired, but I, um, regained some of my energy later.
This girl from Klang got 1st place, actually, but then Ms. Catherine and Lydia C told us that the girl was a trial run or something (what in the world is a trial run? Why did she even run if she was a trial? She could have stayed home and relaxed), so we were all pushed up by one place.
So it means me, Bee Bee, and Grace got the first three places. Yay us! We took some pictures on Zoe Tai's camera, but I'll have to wait for her to go online to post them. I want a camera, too. A nice one. Emily says I should get Panasonic, Sony, or Samsung. I was talking to Emily in the bathroom as we changed into our uniforms (in seperate stalls!). When I came out, Hazel told me that when I said, "And some of the guys there (Club Med) are handsome, you know," the lady from the kindergarten had smiled at her in a mysterious way!
O_O I hope she can't remember my voice! But it's true, actually. Some of the guys are hot... but I mean the GOs (Gentle Organisers), which are the staff members. Lol. They're 18, 19, 20-some, I think. Call me crazy, but Benjamin and another/some other guy(s) are cute. Seriously. Tash was begging me for pictures but I didn't have any. Can't post anymore. I have exceeded the computer time limit by 25 minutes (oh no!). Byee!!
P.S. I miss Club Med! Awwww!!!! I missed it so much last night I couldn't sleep until... um, late.
OMG, you guys, it was SOOOO extremely fun you should have been there I love it I love it I love it and the trapeze was sooooo fun but I couldn't do the backflip but it was still fun OMGOMGOMGOMG you should definitely go there I wanna stay there forever once you reach there you never want to leave!!
I LOVVVVVEEEEE IT THERRRREEE!!!
OMG when I checked my blog - spammers! Lol! Okay, so I guess I should tell you guys more about Club Med, right? (You should definitely go there. Beg your parents and be very, very good. You'll love the trapeze and bungy-bounce -- sorry, at first I said bungy-jumping right? I typed wrongly. I meant bungy-bounce -- provided that you're not afraid of heights.)
Well, there are a lot of French-speaking people there. The staff members can speak different languages too. I told you about Day 1 already (I spent 4 days, 3 nights there). So now it's Day 2, 3, and 4.Day 1:
YuWen and my room.
We didn't go for any of the activities because we just got there and wanted to go play in the beach instead. There are 2 beaches there in Club Med: the first one -- let's just call it the Beach -- is right outside our room (it's divided into a few sections: we are in landak). The people advised us not to swim in it because of the rough waves and stuff. The second is Pantai Beach, but we had to take a train to get there, so we went to the Beach instead.
Who cares about the big waves? We're not going to really swim anyway. We just went underwater and let the waves push us around and tried to resist getting knocked down by the waves. We also built a sand volcano, mountain, and lake. We buried ShiHao with sand.
ShiHao and his new figure. He kept deliberately moving his shoulders so his "boobs" cracked.
Omg, my legs look so skinny! They're not that skinny in real life!!! Must - eat - more!
Awww... aren't they cute? JiaQing and Rachel
And guess what? The drinks at the bar are free. Well, most of them, I think. The ones without prices at the sides are free. So we kids can just walk over to the bar when we're thirsty, get a drink, and walk away without paying for it. And there are lots of different kinds of food at the buffet, too. The free drinks and buffet are included in the ... what do you call it ... payment-to-stay-at-Club-Med.
At night, while we were at Passworld (the place for teens where they have computers and instruments and a TV and a foozball thing and stuff like that; it's for people who are 11-17, but YuWen and JiaWei could get in if they behaved), it was thundering outside. The adults were there, too, and we were watching Epic Movie on the TV, suddenly all the power went off.
The TV in Passworld.
As a result, some of us, like ShiWei and JiaHe (they were sharing a room), had no aircond in our rooms that night. Thankfully, me, YuWen, and Rachel (we shared a room) did have aircond.
JiaQing and Rachel
Day 2:
There are different "clubs" in Club Med. People who are 2-3 are in the Petit Club; 4-7 in the Mini Club; 8-10 in the Kids Club; 11-17 in the Teens Club or whatever. The activites for the clubs are more or less the same, but at different times. But if you are 13 or whatever age, you don't have to follow the Teen Club everywhere until they say you can go back to sleep. All you have to do is show up, and you can join whatever they are doing.
Me, ShiHao, ShiWei, and Heng Tuan (we just call him Tuan Tuan) went for archery with the Teens Club in the morning. Most of the teens (they could speak French and English) knew how to play already, but we didn't. So the staff taught us. It was pretty fun. But I whacked my arm with the string on the bow once, then a staff told me to bend my arm a little so it won't happen again.
My cousins whacked their arms with the strings several times more, though, so their arms were red. LOL.
After archery, they went back down to Passworld for a break. Me and ShiWei played the instruments and played Connect Four for a while, then we went up to my room while ShiHao and ShiWei stayed downstairs. We ate some cup noodles. We made a new friend that day: Chelsea from Shah Alam.
Me, YuWen, and Chelsea went to do batik painting. It was so fun! Chelsea did it earlier that morning while the rest of us were archering, and she gave us some pointers and how to make it fade out.
The girl in the pink shirt and Gap cap is Chelsea. She doesn't like pink, though (her mom chose her clothes) and she loves anime. Her hair is tucked into the cap in these pictures.
Chelsea and I went to play the bungy-bounce (it's like a big trampoline, and there are strings connected to the belt we have to wear, which are connected to 2 poles at the sides of the trampoline. It makes you jump a lot higher). YuWen tagged along. The time we went there was supposed to be for the teens and adults to play, but Claire and Hafiz, 2 of the staff, let her go once.
JiaHe on the bungy-bounce/trampoline.
Me and Chelsea did backflips! Frontflips are harder than the backflips on the bungy-bounce. Then I begged Chelsea to try out the trapeze while YuWen watched and ShiWei and the other teens played tennis or roller-blading opposite the trapeze area.
JiaHe on the trapeze. The guy on the left is Micha (keep reading to know who he is) but I don't know the other guy's name. He acted in one of the shows as the kung fu teacher (go to Day 3 to know more).
This is what we did (I made Chelsea go first, and she was so scared at the top because she says she's scared of heights):
1. A guy sees if we can do leghangs on something like a bar with two ropes at the side, sort of like a swing with ropes instead of metal chains and a bar with tape all over instead of a plank of wood. The "swing" is not swinging. Thanks to the sort-of leghangs on the monkey bar at home, I manage to do it. The guy tells Chelsea what to do. She did it, too.
How to do a leghang: Grab the bar with your hands with your thumbs under the bar. Curl your body and fold your legs in front of you. Swing your legs above the bar so the bar is under the behind of your knees. Let go of your hands so you are dangling by your legs. Swing back upwards and grab the bar. Get your legs off the bar.
2. A guy puts a thick, belt thing around my waist, then hooks a rope to it. He holds on to the rope. I climb up the ladder halfway, then turn and climb up the other side of the ladder. I stop. There is a plank of wood behind me. I stretch my leg out and step on it, then put one hand on the rope on the wood, then get my other leg and hand on the wood and rope.
The guy on the plank (Micha, his name was. Or Nicha. He looks maybe 19 or 20 and older) asks me my name. I tell him. He takes a while to get it kind-of-right.
Micha or something: Jiayu. Sounds like jail. *the way he pronounces "jail" is like "ja-eel"*
Me: O_o
Micha: How many boyfriends do you have?
Me: None.
Micha: Nine?
Me: No, none!
Micha:Nine?? You have nine boyfriends?!
Me: NO!
Micha: *shouts to everyone below who is watching and/or waiting for their turn that I have 9 boyfriends*
Me: *laughing* NO!! I said none!
Micha: You have nine boyfriends! One for everyday and two for the weekend. Do they know about each other?
Me: Lol!
Micha: Who do you like better? Mark or Billy?
Me: Neither of them!! *laughs*
I get scared, standing on the wood plank. I look down at the net and get more scared. I try to calm down. Micha doesn't help when the stomps on the plank and makes it shake. I tighten my grip on the left vertical rope on each side of the plank.
3. He uses one hand to hold a stick with a hook at the end to get one side of the trapeze. The other hand is holding my belt so I don't fall off accidentally. I lean out with my left hand on one of the diagonal ropes beside me and grab the trapeze with my right hand.
4. Micha asks me to put my left hand on the trapeze. I get very scared and say that if I lean further and grab it with my left hand, I will fall off. He says I won't. I grab it, surprised that I could.
5. He pushes me off.
6. All the fear disappears. It was too fun for me to be scared! Suddenly the net doesn't seem that far below (if you're watching, it wouldn't seem high at all, but once you're up there on the plank, it's kinda scary).
7. The other guy below, holding the rope that is connected to my "belt", shouts out instructions. "Forward [he's talking about my legs], backward, forward, backward, one more time, forward, backward, fold your legs!"
8. I did the leghang wrongly, though. NOOOOO!!! It was a little embarrassing, but that made me more determined to try again. I'm like that. I knew that I would probably be embarrassed, if only a little, for quite some time, so I really wanted to go again to prove I could do it. I did, but the next day.
After the trapeze, YuWen and I went to take a shower in our room. Then we went to eat dinner. After dinner, we went to the theatre to get our T-shirts because, you see, there was going to be a fashion show that night, with the Petit Club, Mini Club, Kids Club (okay, now when I say Mini Club, I mean Mini Club and Kids Club), and Teens Club.
We took a group picture, but as the cameraman was about to take it, Hafiz was like, "Oww! Someone's pinching my ass! OW!!" And the European guys behind started laughing and stuff. Omg LOL...
So nerve-wracking walking down the runway. After the fashion show, there was a second show (there are 2 shows every night, I think). The teens (us) and YuWen and JiaHe went on stage as part of the background in a nightclub, while the performers came out and danced and acted.
Day 3:
We went downstairs to Passworld and played foozball. Me and YuWen vs. TuanTuan and JiaHe. I didn't know foozball could be so fun! It rained that day. At breakfast, Chelsea sat with us and kept calling ShiWei "Orangeboy" because he had been wearing orange yesterday night. So ShiWei and the others started calling her "Gap" because of her Gap cap.
Gap and Orangeboy.
ROFL. Nice names!
It was circus day, so we took pictures with a guy (I don't know his name; he's the one shouting instructions at the trapeze, I think) and Claire (the lady at the bungy-bouncing place). They were on stilts, that's why they're so tall.
Haha. Look at Rachel! She looks so bored and cute. So innocent. After the rain, Me, YuWen, and Chelsea went to do some more batik painting, then we joined the others in the swimming pool. The pool was kind of boring. We just swam around and had competitions to see who could hold their breath the longest (my best was 20 seconds. Phuh. I wonder how Daniel Craig does it). We watched Daniel Craig hold his breath underwater for 7+ minutes.
I was disappointed that it rained because I couldn't go on the trapeze, but when YuWen and I went to the theatre - voila! - the trapeze was inside. NO, not the exact same one as outside, with all the nets and ropes! Just the bar thingy and the ropes, with something on the floor to soften our fall.
I sat on one of the chairs and watched as people went on the trapeze. Then Micha came over while I was watching and asked, "Are you the girl with 9 boyfriends?" I looked at him incredulously and laughed, and he said, smiling, "Just kidding."
Nice people. Nice staff. One of the staff, Benjamin, was funny, too. YuWen kept saying that. "I like Benjamin. He's funny. Benjamin is funny. I like Benjamin. I like Benjamin. I like Benjamin. I like Benjamin. I like Benjamin." Haha. But Benjamin IS funny.
The outside of the theatre.
My mom didn't take a picture of me doing the leghang. Don't know what she was doing at the time. In this shot, I've already finished the leghang and is getting my legs off the bar.
The first time I did it inside the theatre, I had to swing 3 times before I got my legs on the bar. The second time, I did the leghang in one try, so after the guy asked me to get my legs off the bar, he said, "Okay, now I'm going to teach you to do a backflip."
I intelligently said, "What?!"
Then he said, "Forward, backward, forward, let go!"
So I let go. Instead of doing a backflip, though, I just fell and landed on my feet like that. Eh. Too bad I couldn't try again. There were these 3 teens whom he taught some of the basic tricks. They could do the leghang, swing, jump, stand on it, and hang by their feet. So cool. We didn't have time to learn all that, though.
This is ShiWei doing a leghang.
We went to one side of the beach, the part outside the theatre. I walked carefully when I saw some moving things in the sand. ShiWei and the others were looking at the waves and crabholes. I stood there and looked down to my left. Then my right.
Worms.
I screamed and ran up the stairs and back to the theatre. YuWen followed. It was so disgusting! But the part of the beach outside our room is clean and free of disgusting worms. There are adorable little, fierce hermit crabs in that part.
Omg, the show at night was awesome. Claire did a rain dance, I think it was, with a red curtain dangling from the ceiling. Two guys, and then a guy (the Other Guy beside JiaHe in the trapeze picture) and girl went on the trapeze in the theatre and did really cool tricks and stuff.
Then there was this act with the Other Guy as the kung fu master and Micha as the stupid student. It was so funny! Then some other acrobats, Ayumi, Claire, and etc., jumped out and they all did frontflips and whacked Micha's butt and stuff like that. Then they put this thing on top of the Other Guy, jumped onto it, and started stomping and jumping on it to crush the guy. It was so funny!!! I felt like screaming with laughter.
It was soooo great. YuWen and I want to go learn gymnastics now! The show was SOOOOO awesome, you guys should have seen it. Omg! Me and YuWen were talking nonstop about it to her dad on the way to our rooms.
The show was soooo great!!! I feel so sad about leaving Club Med... :(
Awww... I wanna go back.
Day 4:
BeChe (YuWen's dad; that's what I call him) knocked on our room door in the morning and asked YuWen if she wanted to go for a walk in the beach. I tagged along. We got dressed and went. Rachel was still sleeping, so she didn't go.
We walked awhile. YuWen and I stood on the sand and let the waves wash over our feet and slippers. When we turned and wanted to walk to dry sand, we had to be careful so our slippers didn't get stuck to the wet sand because of all the water. The sand stubbornly held on to my slipper when I walked away, so I had to get it back.
Then BeChe drove me and YuWen to this kopitiam where they sell really nice nasi lemak. We ate 3 packs there and bought 14 more packs for the others (and 3 more for me and YuWen =P). After breakfast, YuWen and I went to the souvenir shop, called la boutique. We were browsing and tried to decide what we wanted so we could tell our parents later. ShiHao joined us. He had money, but we didn't.
YuWen and I were walking out of la boutique to get our batik paintings when my Dad came and asked if we wanted to buy anything.
Of course we said yes.
My Dad gave me RM200 first (the stuff there are expensive. A pack of Pocky sticks cost RM8), but then later when the others came and wanted to buy stuff, too, he took out his credit card. Then I took his credit card and walked around the shop with YuWen, trying to decide what to get.
I didn't get to use the card, though, because he came back while we were still walking around. In the end, I got a really pretty, blue bracelet that matches my paua shell earrings, a magnet with a turtle on it to stick on the fridge (except the fridge in the dry kitchen is not magnetic, so I'll have to put it on the fridge in the wet kitchen, where they do the cooking), a Cherating Beach pink shirt with a lizard on it, and a green, ceramic frog soap tray that is exactly the same as the soap tray in our hotel room bathroom.
Because of my carelessness, someone dropped the frog soap tray afterwards and it broke into 4 pieces. Awww! I bought it to remind me of Club Med (as if I could forget)!! YuWen bought the same bracelet, but in pink.
Me and Chelsea
Sorry, but I'm too lazy to rotate these pictures. Blogger is annoying. I have to drag the pictures all the way down. It takes SO long. I've been working on this post for hours. I'm not kidding. Ugh.
Anyway, after that, we went for more bungy-bouncing and the trapeze. JiaHe tried the trapeze today. The first time, he couldn't do the leghang. Then my Mom came and asked JiaHe to do it again so she could record it, so he went again, and he did the leghang this time.
We sat on the bench. These two little blonde girls, who were really cute, sat beside me and YuWen. They asked YuWen for 2 sweets each when they saw her eating them. Then the guy said, "Zhu ni fang pi kuai le". The girls laughed and one of them said, "No! Zhu ni shen ri kuai le!"
The guy actually knew, but he was saying that for fun. Apparently, the girls lived in Beijing. My Mom asked them their names and where they lived in Chinese, and they replied her in Chinese. Then one of them asked me my name in Chinese.
Girl: Ni jiao shen me ming zhi?
Me: Wo jiao JiaYu. Ni jiao shen me ming zhi?
Girl: Wo jiao Akhmed (I don't know how to spell it).
I asked the other girl her name and she said she was Louise. I said I was JiaYu and she said, "You're a fish." Then I said, "Yeah." I told YuWen their names, and I said, "Louissse."
Louise was like, "No! No! Loo-ee-zuh!"
So YuWen and I said, "Loo-ee-zuh. Loo-ee-zuh."
LOL. Then the guy threw Akhmed's slippers, just to play with her, and she went to retrieve them. it became sort of a game, so everytime he threw them, she took them and gave them back to him to throw again.
Then we had to go. We were waiting for the adults to come to check out in the bar and swimming pool area (scroll up for the picture of me and YuWen, with a background of brown sofas and back curtains), when YuWen suddenly remembered the batik paintings.
We made a mad dash downstairs to get them (thank God). Then we said thank you to the ladies there who helped us. We did D.I.Y. batiks yesterday. We chose a drawing each over there, showed it to the people, then they gave us cloths and we put the drawings under them and traced.
YuWen chose a cute, pretty, simple flower drawing. Chelsea chose some fishes. I chose this really pretty bird with a lot of feathers and leaves and stuff. Chelsea did the waxing herself, but it looked hard and she was regretting doing it by herself. My bird picture was too complicated for me to wax it myself, I said, so I asked the lady to help me wax it (when they wax, they dip something in melted wax and trace the batik with wax so when we paint it, the paint won't go over the lines). She helped YuWen too, because YuWen was too young to know how.
Batik is so much fun to paint. After we got our batik paintings back, we raced back upstairs and sat on the sofas, sweating (we sweat a lot in Club Med).
Then we had to leave! It was sad. Aww... I feel like crying. ShiWei said he does, too. I hope we can go back. ShiWei says maybe we can go to the one in Maldives, and his Dad said maybe Japan.
Whew! Finally done. It took so long, but I never want to forget this! I love Club Med! Too bad I lost my Confessions of a Boyfriend Stealer book there. It was a nice book. Tash asked me if there were any cute French guys, and I said yes, but I don't know if they're French. They're definitely not Asian, though.
And they're like 18-20-or-older, but still cute. Lol.
School tomorrow. Awww. Too bad. I don't want to go. I'm going to Singapore in 2 weeks for my cousin Yen Yen's wedding. Yay! XD
Wow. I took like almost an hour just to color the paragprahs and delete the unnecessary spaces between the paragraphs.
Well, good night! Oh gosh, it's 11 PM now. I miss Club Med...
Hey, guys! I'm at Club Med, and guess what? They have computers here with Internet for us to play! We went to the beach yesterday and buried ShiHao in the sand. We added something else which is a bit sick, so I shouldn't tell you now. But I'll post the picture when I get home.
Omg. They have, like, bungy-jumping and a trapeze over here. They have archery, too, at about 3 o' clock. Bungy-jumping and the trapeze at 4, I think. Club Med really IS French, so they have a lot of French people here. Some French guys are sitting across us and playing a game and speaking in French right now.
I don't understand a word. In Passworld (the teens club thing, for 11-17, which is where I am), they have the computers. We're going for sports later, so I better hurry. Something wrong with the electricity yesterday because of the thunder and rain, I guess. The power kept going off in Passworld, so we went back upstairs.
Nothing much to type now. ShiHao is playing a song on the piano. They have some guitars here, too. Okay, then, bye!
