Celine's Birthday Party!
I just came back from Celine's [early] birthday just now (Celine is 9), and it was so much fun! At 4PM, when church ended, my mom was supposed to wait for my brothers' children church to end (it ends at 4:30, but they usually play around until 5), but I rushed her, saying that Celine's party started at 4 and I was already late. When I got there... I found out that it actually started at 5PM, so I was early, along with Hazel Chang, Lydia Chang, Saskia, Joyce, and Wendy. So we sat around and walked around the house, chatting and waiting for the others to arrive. When they finally did, we played games: the first, Helloha. You say "ha" to your left and "hello" to your right. If your friend on your left says "hello" to you, you either turn your head to right and say "hello", or turn back to the friend and say "ha". If you get it mixed up, you lose. The second was this game where you blow up two balloons and tie them to your ankles with raffia strings. Then you run around and try to burst other people's balloons while they try to destroy yours. I sat out for this. It's a scary game. I don't want balloons exploding all over me.The third was Dance and Freeze - you dance, and when the music stops, you freeze, and people will try to make you laugh. If you laugh or move, you're out. Me and Celine were the last two survivors in this game, so I did a bit of the chicken dance and and copied Celine for some. I was about to tuck my hair behind my ears when the music stopped, so I was stuck in that position for a while, and Sarah and Hazel took pictures of it, with my hands in my hair. They said it looked like a model pose or something. I wonder how it turned out? I probably looked sweaty =.= But I won! Where's my prize, by the way? Then there was this sort of charades, where we were divided into 4 teams and had to act out a scene from a movie, like "Tarzan" or "High School Musical" or "Mulan". Celine and my team (we're both in team 1) won! Yay us! But really, where IS our prize? We were supposed to get a prize at the end, but we didn't get any! ='(
Then we ate dinner (mushroom soup, grilled chicken wings, buns, mashed potatoes with gravy, spaghetti with tomato sauce, pineapple-and-Sprite -- it actually tastes good). Speaking about mixed drinks, Lydia Wester mixed orange juice and Pepsi together yesterday at my church when we went for the One Life exhibition. She said it tasted good, so I wanted to try it. Then I looked into the cup and realized how remarkably like diarrhoea it looked like. Really. It was this disgusting brown color, like super-watery diarrhoea. And it had this weird taste.
Then we (me, Saskia, and Megan) went upstairs to watch TV with Celine and Natassha Zoe and some other people (all of whom were younger than me -- I'm 13 in November, but 12 now). Then we had to go back down to sing "Happy Birthday" to Celine. The chocolate cake looked delicious, but I didn't get to try it. Me and Sas were hunting for it, but it disappeared off somewhere.
After that... things got REALLY fun.
Me, Saskia, Celine, Jared, Jeremy, some of Celine's little friends, and etc. played hide-and-seek-in-the-dark in the average-sized guest room. There were so many people, and someone had farted, so it smelled really bad in the beginning. After that, it smelled like sweat. Me and Sas hid beside the bed, on the floor, along with a couple other children huddled on the floor. Once, someone hid behind my behind. Then in another round, someone lay her head on my leg, and Saskia's head was just above mine, and her hair was going onto my face. It was so hot and sweaty and cramped, but it was really fun!
Then we played hide-and-seek around the house. This small girl (I think she was like 5 or 6) called Lauren came into the dark bathroom that me and Saskia were hiding in. She said she was scared, so we let her hide with us, and I put my hands on her shoulders and she touched my hand because 1) she was scared, and 2) Saskia probably made her even more scared by saying:
Saskia: Hey, what if there's a monster here and it comes out?
Me: Saskia, stop scaring Lauren... Hey, I can see the street from here *peers through the window blinds*.
Saskia: Duh. Lauren, are you scared?
Lauren: *silence*
Saskia: Did she turn into a zombie or something?
Then, after that, we hid under Sarah Ti's bed. If I hid under the bed and looked down at the floor, my face was 1 or .5 of a centimeter from the floor. The bed was had this thin divider thing in the middle of the underside of it, so me, Lauren, and Celine were squeezed on one side, with Natassha Zoe on the other. Saskia hid beside the bed because there was no space.
Seriously, we were sweating like water ballons with a hundred holes in them. And we were practically breathing in sweat. It was like taking a shower... but it was fun! We were talking with each other and laughing, then the seekers came in and we became kind-of quiet. They actually went back out without finding us. Omg. Hahaha!
We played War after that, but it wasn't very fun. Then Saskia and I stayed in the guest room while no one was inside and enjoyed the nice air-conditioning. We talked and listened to music for like 2 minutes, and then our peace was disturbed by little children coming in and asking, "What are you doing here?" and stuff like that.
It was so fun. John's (Celine and Sarah's elder brother) has a really cool room on the 3rd floor. It has a slanted ceiling on one side, like an attic, and then a sofa, and a short corridor leading to a bathroom.
I think that their house is nicely furnished, even the bathrooms.
I took the mash quiz again, and this time I filled it in with nonsense. I rather like my results. It's above this post.Labels: celine's party, fun, mash quiz
