Christmas and Sleepovers!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Well, actually, Christmasday was yesterday, but nevermind. My family and our relatives celebrated it on the 24th though. Yu Wen and I went to Mid Valley to pierce our ears on the 23rd of December, and we were super scared!! First we chose the earrings, then I pierced my ears first. When I saw that the piercing-things were like staplers of some sort... It was so scary! Be Chim (Yu Wen's mom) had to hug me coz it was scary and I started shrieking and attracting looks from other people and inching away from the staplers. But then I finally had to do it and surprisingly, when they pierced it, it wasn't as bad as I thought. I just gasped.

Yu Wen was even more afraid. She started crying like crazy and also started attracting looks from strangers and was so scared. Be Chim asked her in Chinese if she wanted to pierce her ears, and she said she did but she was scared. She was kind of regretting going to Mid Valley. But finally she gave in and when she pierced her ears, she didn't even cry or scream! After that she said it wasn't that painful and we were all smiling again. Then we went to MPH Bookstores and bought mechanical pencils and HSM2 magazines. Unfortunately, after that, we kept hurting our ears accidentally.

Then we went back to the condominiums at Mont' Kiara and started drawing and playing the comp and watching TV and stuff. Then I really wanted to sleepover and Be Chim wanted me to sleepover too (Yu Wen also really wanted me to sleepover because we were each other's best cousins!), so she called my Mom and told her that she couldn't fetch me back home because she was tired, which wasn't a lie. Yu Wen and I walked to Kiara Mart and bought some sweets and chewy candy. Yu Wen went to sleep earlier, but Shi Wei, Shi Hao, and I stayed up until about 1:30 am watching videos on the computer. We watched videos about a talking cat, Potter Puppet Pals, The Piano: Amazing Short (go to Youtube and type that - it's so sad and so beautiful I cried but Shi Hao and Yu Wen cried when they watched it, too), and the really sad American Dragon show on Youtube. While waiting for the 3 parts to load, we paused it at some parts and started drawing the characters.

The food at the Christmas dinner was so good! There was turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, chicken, walnut cake, chocolate cake, rice stuffed in turkey and taken out again, a chocolate fountain, strawberries, marshmallows, bananas, kiwis, grapes, pineapples, curry, orange juice, and that's it, I think. My grandma found it odd that Yu Wen and I mixed the sweet and salty stuff on the same plate (dessert, chocolate + turkey, rice and whatever on the same plate). Sooooo yummy I want to eat it all over again!!!

After and before the Christmas dinner at our cousin's really big house, Yu Wen and I hid behind a couch somewhere in the house and took turns playing Cooking Mama 2 (really good game) on my DS. And after dinner and playing Cooking Mama 2, my cousin Shi Wei called me over and we went outside and sat on the steps, and I saw this kinda-of-big snail! We named it Gary, after Gary the Snail from Spongebob Squarepants (Gary is also Shi Wei's dad's name). It was so fun when we started taking turns feeding Gary. If you were the one holding the leaf, you could feel and hear Gary's little crunching noises when he chewed the leaves. It was so cute the way he ate it but the snail wasn't very cute. Too bad we didn't take a picture. Shi Wei said there were a lot of snails on the wall. Gary the Snail's neck is so long!

Yesterday we had another Christmas dinner thing, because a few of our relatives didn't go to the Christmas party on the 24th. The food was good too. We went to that one foresty place to eat at this restaurant with alot of geckos and flying ants which freaked me out in it. Actually, Yu Wen and Shi Wei could sleepover yesterday, but then their parents heard we were going to a housewarming party and said they couldn't, which made Yu Wen totally miserable and start crying.

Jia He and Jia Wei are at Shi Wei and Yu Wen and Shi Hao's place right now. They're sleeping over today. I suppose it's fair but that doesn't mean I like it. I'm not used to being alone (if you count being at home with my dog, the maids, and Jia Qing alone). Oh well.

My Mom bought me and Yu Wen color pencils for Christmas! Both were Faber Castell. Yu Wen's one was the 38-color, triangular one with silver spots, and mine was the 46-color Artist one. So cool! I saw the artist color pencils several days ago but that was only 12 or 24-colors. Yahoo!! This year there weren't many presents though, because the adults agreed not to buy Christmas presents this year, for some odd reason. But I got presents from two of my aunts, my Grandma (I think I told you guys about the Younger-Aunt (we call her Gugu)-and-Grandma shopping spree at the bookstore one), and my Mom. Yu Wen and I got the same bathrobe from the older aunt (We also call her Gugu). And my Grandma calls the Younger Aunt "Baby" because she's the youngest. Even thought she is now 30-something, her "Baby" nickname still sticks. How cute is that?
