Blisters! I lost my voice, thanks to all that trying to sing Bring Me to Life (by the way, here's the other link - the real one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dIf2SFLwdw, and plus all that screaming and yelling and shouting when Yu Wen, Shi Wei, Shi Hao, Tuan Tuan, and Shi Wei' s friend came over and we went to swim in my pool.
And oh yeah, I finished Peter and the Starcatchers yesterday night. It's about 460-something pages, so it's such a pity it couldn't have lasted me longer than two days. Shoot. The ending was so sad it made me cry a bit! And in the book, TWO girls liked Peter (one was a lady mermaid, actually), and that's not including the fairy. Because he wasn't a starcatcher and he had to move the trunk filled with starstuff, which would've normally killed someone, but he was extremely lucky, it made him... change... a bit. Okay, maybe a LOT. First off, he could fly without needing any of the starstuff. Second, Molly's father (the father of the girl who liked him) said that it MIGHT have an effect on his age: he would remain a boy forever (and we KNOW it's true). So when they were getting into the dory - or was it a boat? - to get off the island (which would become Neverland) go home to England, Peter didn't go. He said no, because even though Molly's father said he could live with them, since he was orphaned, he would be like a circus freak when he did all those stuff - fly - in England. And what would he do when they moved on? (Moved on = died) He would remain a boy forever, after all.
So he had to let Molly go, and Molly had to let him go. It was so sad. They both really liked each other, and now they, you know, he won't age and she will. He said that he could visit her in England, but it'd have to be soon since she would grow older. And that moment on the island, they both knew, was the last moment they would ever have together when they were both the same age (14). It's sad. And Peter's friends also wanted to stay = they weren't gonna leave him behind. It was SUCH a good story. And Smee's stupidness amuses me, too. And Peter is sooooo brave.... sighhh.... it would really be wonderful if he were real. I'm stuck in between fantasy and reality. Which do I like best? It doesn't matter coz reality is real; fantasy, sadly, isn't.
I love Peter Pan! (By the way, a mermaid kissed Peter, and Molly and the mermaid and the fairy, Tinker Bell, were jealous of each other. The book tells how mermaids came to be, too. And centaurs and minotaurs and the Loch Ness, too, I think. FYI: centaurs = half-man, half-horse. Minotaur = I only read about it in this fictional book w/Greek mythology in it. Half-man, half-bull. Big. Ugly. Bad cow.)
Today I went to Dream Centre, our new church, where D.U.M.C. changed to, and it is SOOOO HUGE! I sneaked a peek at the auditorium, and it is possibly larger than the auditorium in Kuen Cheng, or maybe the same size. Nice place! The church had three floors, and we had church in Hall 1, which is about as big as my backyard, or maybe a little bigger or smaller. It's huge!! But it's not completely done yet. Still kinda dusty. There's a garden in the church too. Hah! A garden!! Innit cool? And they have lots of corridors with these doors with number plates on them (e.g. Room 203, Room 204, etc.), and looked like a school, except it was carpeted. It's so cool! I saw Carrie, Chanelle, Esther Lee, Miin Zher (Esther's brother), Lydia Chang, and Sze Jun (my cousin) there. I talked to Chanelle and Esther and Sze Jun. I didn't to the others, tho.
