28 August 2007 - Tuesday
Well, today was a pretty normal day. And Andrew Sanjay got us souvenirs from Bangkok yesterday? Isn't that nice? Anyway, today we played the Name Game (your friends choose a word for you, and that word will have to be your answer to every question they ask. You'll have to do it without laughing) during lunch again, and it wasn't quite so funny. Yesterday Paullyn's word was 'lesbian', so we were like, "What are you?" "What is your dream career?" And Emily said something really gross. We got Kelvin they all to play, too, and Kelvin's word was "Zoe Tai!" LOL! He actually did it, and of course we asked questions like, "Who is your girlfriend?" and blah, blah, blah. And the GRC Youth Rally flyers came out today! Who should I invite? Hmmmm... Tash, and er... my cousins? Lemme think...At dismissal time, Miss Emel told all of us that thanks to the generosity of Andrew, whoever behaves the best will get a present. (6 of these little stick things with rubber people in colorful costumes on them) And whoever behaves for 6 days will get a scented magenta fan, which like the stickies, and also from Bangkok. I still don't get the thing about behaving for 6 days, so I'll have to go back and check. And it's Andrew's birthday next Monday! Happy early birthday!Well anyway, that 20-people tagged thing sure was fun. Yesterday when I printed out the lyrics for Bring Me to Life, I stuck it on the outside of the clear glass shower stall with two tiny wads of Tack-It and started singing! Like, lol! It wasn't as hard as I had expected, but the ending is like, "Bring me to liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiife." You're supposed to hold the word "life" for about 10 seconds, then stop. Amy Lee (that girl from Evanescence) is amazing. She can do that. I tried, but I couldn't. Zzzzzz... And I also discovered it's waaaay harder to sing when you're not showering, because when you sing songs with high notes in them, you have to sing really loud right? So if you're in the shower, the sound of the noisy gushing water will sort of drown out some of your voice, making it seem softer. And when you try singing it out of the bathroom, you'll find you have to sort of shout to sing it. It's horrible! I don't dare sing loudly in front of anyone except my friendly little showerhead (think I should give 'em a name?). Geez! They have Bring Me to Life in Singing Shop (SS), but then I'd have to sing really really loudly, and that's really 'what' if you're not in the shower OR a recording studio. And yesterday, I found out on www.dictionary.com that the word "evanescence" actually means something, because when I typed "evanescence" on Microsoft Word, they didn't have a squiggly red line underneath indicating that the word doesn't exist.*sigh* Oh well... I gotta go now, to take a shower and, you know, try Bring Me to Life by Evanescence again... and again... and again...
