Sad Little Dead Animals
Darnnnn... I sprained my left ankle. I was walking down the stairs of my mom's friend's boutique, when I suddenly tripped and sprained it. It was so painful, and now it only hurts when I twist my foot or put my left foot on the ground, so I have to hop around on my right leg, which is actually pretty tiring.I don't wanna blog, but I wanna remember one of the stories that Ms. Cath told us today in devotion coz we begged her for it. I love stories. Her pastor knew this Australian pastor (I think) and the children love her to bits. So the Australian pastor (let's just call her Lady) was talking about resurrections, and said something like you can resurrect stuff if you believe and you have faith and something like that, and the children asked, "Even animals???" And Lady said, "Even animals." So she was like, Okay. The end. That was good.So the next Sunday, the Sunday school teachers got quite a shock when all the children came in with their sick and dying and dead pets. They wanted to resurrect their animals and heal them, so Lady was like, Oh God, what did You make me preach? But she said to the children, "Okay. Lay your hand on your pet and pray to God sincerely." So the children prayed, "God, please bring my puppy back to life because I love him and I know You love him too." And when they were done praying, suddenly - Meow! And suddenly the animals all came to life and made a lot of noise. This little boy saw with his own eyes his dead, floating fish suddenly turn over and start swimming.Whoa. Isn't that cool? I wish I was there!!!
Why did I have to sprain my ankle?? Now I can't go out and eat Japanese food coz my dad is bringing my brothers to eat Japanese food! GAHH!!!
Oh, and there was this dead baby bird on the ramp in school today. I saw Clement and Ben Ashton staring at it with a tissue after school, so I bent down and started talking to them about it. They wanted to bury it but of course, we couldn't do that. So I just took the tissue, carried the bird by the foot with it, and put it on top of one of those wall things that have grass and stuff growing on top.
Um... but we didn't resurrect it though. We didn't resurrect the dead moth in class either.
Later Saskia and I saw some red ants crawling all over the dead baby bird!!! I cried, "Ew!! The ants are eating the baby bird!" Then we screamed, "Ewww!" So gross! How evil of the ants, but it IS the balance of nature, I guess. May the night smile gently upon you, little baby bird, even though you are being eaten by ants. Rest in peace.
Hmmm...Labels: Would you mind being eaten by ants?
