10 August 2007 - Saturday
Eek! Sorry I didn't update for so long. Anyway, yesterday was Ben's party - at 1 Utama. First we went bowling at U Bowl. We were split into 2 or 3 teams, and I was in Andrew's, PMae's, Saskia's, Wendy's, Ralf's, Yen Ming's, and dunno who's team. Celine came later for the 2nd round, but we only played halfway til we had to go to Shakey's to eat. PMae got 1st in the first round, and I got 2nd. And I got my first strike! Yayyy... PMae and I arrived at roughly the same time, so we had to catch up w/them first. I was a bit nervous abt eating the pinkish fried chicken after the microbiologist Kim Wu, who came to school yesterday to tell about germs and bacteria, because I was a little scared of getting tapeworm if it wasn't cooked enuff. Btw she also talked about tapeworm, which is a worm which is very long and has horrid spikes on its head. It clings on to your intestine with its head - ugh my crazy cousin Chen2 left the door open even tho I told him to close it - can't stand 'em - and when you somehow get rid of the body, the head'll stick to your intestine forever, til you die.So, back to the party: When the ice-cream cake from Baskin Robbins arrived, there were these curious-looking ice pieces that looked rather like jagged sugar cubes. Andrew said they were dry ice. The BR lady took one and dropped it into a glass of Sprite - for reasons I have yet to find out - and the Sprite started bubbling. Some smoke/mist started slithering down the glass like it was too heavy to fly away somewhere. So cool. We started dropping more ice inside. Then we went to the playground, in which we went absolutely nuts. Sas and Andrew started yelling, "Hey we're megacelebrities!" and "Thank you, thank you. *Flying kiss* I love you too!" at the people standing on the pavement down there, while we were looking down on them from the railings. And then we started singing stuff really loud and stuff. When we went back to Shakey's pizza, there was this huge puddle of water on the ground, and Celine was playing with a glass of horrible sickly mixtures. I could see Coke, Sprite, ketchup, and dry ice in it. PM took a sip of it - I expected better of you, Paul Mae! - Just kidding - I am not kidding abt the thing where PM took a sip of the mixture tho. Then Ben's Mum threatened to take a pic and send it to Mr. Fan to show what we did at Bday parties, but personally, I didn't really care. Partly coz I did not mix it together, and partly coz it's a PARTY for goodness' sake. There are worse things.
