31 August 2007 - Friday - MERDEKA
Yay! I'm reading
Peter and the Starcatchers,
and it's abt how he became Peter Pan. It's sooo good! I just got it two days ago - it's like RM42.90 - so expensive! I'm on page 212 now, the part where Peter was cast overboard when he bit the captain Slank's hand (long story: read it yourself). Ugh. That's horrible. I hate swimming in the part of the sea where I can't see the ground (sand) or where I can't put my feet down on. Coz with the sea, you never know. You might be a thousand feet from the ground and not know it. I can't imagine how absolutely terrifying it would be to be cast overboard a ship when you're in the middle of the sea. I mean, I don't mind those things where they strap this thing to you so you won't fall off and let you bounce on a giant trampoline - in fact, I LOVE THEM! It's so fun to jump all the way to the top of the poles (remember in Japan, Paul Lyn?). The feeling that you left your insides down there makes it even more fun.
But I hate, hate, hate the thing about the sea. Don't get me wrong; I love the sea and all, but... oh well. Whatever. But it's a good thing Peter went overboard, because if he hadn't, he probably wouldn't have become the ever-so-famous Peter Pan. In the story, he has red hair tho, but in movie, he has blonde hair. (I only like Jeremy Sumpter when he was 12/13, mind you. He is/was SO HOT!!! *siiiiigh*)
Anyway, HAPPY MERDEKA!!! (Independence day for Malaysia) No piano class today. My Mom says the fireworks were terrific, she's bringing us to see it on Sunday. Says the fireworks formed the shape of a heart.
Crazy Jia He; what a pain in the neck, darn it! I was listening to Bring Me to Life, and I made it really loud, and he just snapped, "Wei! Put the volume softer!!" So I snapped too and there was this fight. If he asked politely, I would have nicely turned down the volume. And just now silly little Jia Qing, the second pain-in-the-everywhere, said that it's his turn to play my computer, and told Mum that I always didn't let him play, which is a HUGE BIG FAT LIE!!! I'm sorry, but I'm just steaming mad at the loserificness of my silly brothers!! I DO let him play my comp! Darn it darn it! Jia Qing loves to lie (seriously), but he's not GOOD at lying. Silly little boy, go away!
Now i know what my friends say: "Jiayu, your brother is so cute!" "Jiawei is so cute!" "Jia Qing is so cute!" But if you were me, you wouldn't think they were cute and all. Sure they were cute when they were young and talk or walk and cause trouble, but PEOPLE LOSE THEIR CUTENESS OKAY?? They've transformed into world-class annoying pain-in-the-everythings! AAAAAAGH! I'm not gonna let JQ play my comp, to pay him out for that big fat lie.

Andrew's Birthday Party!!
Okay, let me start with the beginning of the day:
I came to school on time since Miss Siow was still standing there waiting for us, but as it turns out, they started devotion early, so I'm late and early at the same time. Miss Emel showed us a magazine about Amy Winehouse and Lindsay Lohan, about them taking drugs and drinking and going to rehab and stuff, and Amy got in a fight with her husband in a hotel coz of all the drugs that made her hallucinate and stuff, and she sort of clawed at his neck til he had to go to the hospital, and Amy had blood all over her. Yeah... so whatever, and Lindsay's parents let her stay in a hotel w/her bf at 15 years old, and threw her a party and let her drink anything she wanted. The pic showed her collapsing because of all the drinks, and her family and friends trying to get her up. Miss Emel had to censor one part coz she was wearing a miniskirt and she was, you know, sort of squatting. Yeah. Whatever. It was really interesting tho.
Okay, so ya'll know about the contest right? Who behaves the best and completes all his/her goals? They had this "the three finalists are..." thing again, which really made me what because yesterday I was one of them, but I didn't win and it was so embarrassing (only becoz of the goals!). But today I, Jia Yu, for once is possibly the entire year of 2007, finished my goals! The other finalists were Yen Ming and Ralf. Andrew was like, "Actually we were thinking of choosing this guy [Ralf], but since today is my birthday, I choose Yen Ming also, and since tomorrow is Merdeka, I choose this girl [me!]." Like, LOLZ! But hey, who's complaining? They already gave away 5 of those bookmarks though, although we were supposed to make them last for 6 days because there were only 6 bookmarks.
And yeah, I left my handphone and charger in school. Thank GOD Miss Emel is helping me keep it! I asked her to.
So after school, we were really excited about the party. Cayla was complaining that Andrew was mean even tho she was so nice to him, and I asked her, "What did you get him?" And she said, "Nothing. i didn't get him anything coz he's so mean." Then I asked her something which I have, unfortunately but not surprisingly, forgotten. She told me she wasn't invited. Figures. No wonder she was complaining. I asked Andrew why he didn't invite Cayla, and he said coz there were too many people already.
(Actually, those who were invited were me, Saskia, Ralf, Paul Mae, Wendy, Edmund, Ben Ashton, Yen Ming, and Andrew's cousin Philip. But we were going to Marché's, in the Curve, which was pretty expensive, if you ask me.)
So after school wer all went to the bathroom to get out of our uniforms and change into proper party attire (T-shirt and jeans - very, very casual). Andrew told us yesterday he was gonna wear stg funny, and he showed us the shirts today. He had two of them:
1. The first one is white, with the word "iPood" on it, and a blue silhouette of a man sitting on the toilet and listening to a red iPod.
2. The second shirt has two tied-up bulls lying on their backs, each beside the words, "Dead Bull". I didn't get what it meant, and Andrew said coz there was this drink called Red Bull, and this was Dead Bull... get it?
We all wanted him to wear the iPood one, but he wore th bull one instead. Andrew's dad said that he knew he wouldn't dare to wear it. Andrew said he'd wear it tonight when he went to sleep. His dad asked him to wear it to choir or something. Andrew was like shocked at this and said how his friends would all laugh and his dad said something like making people happy and it being a good thing. After school, we went to the bathroom to change. When Bee Bee passed us by, she did a double take and asked, "But... I thought you all were wearing uniforms...?" LOL! How clueless. Some of us followed Aunty Bina and Uncle George's (Andrew's parents) cars there. PMae came on her own - she didn't come to school coz she felt ill.
While we were walking to the bowling place in Cineleisure, Sas and Wendy taught me to do the "Who asked you? Ooh! Sssst!" thing. It was so funny, we kept doing it to Andrew and he hit Saskia!! We were really trying to annoy him LOL! We went to the bowling place and split it to 3 teams, all the girls together. We went under our code names. First Sas was Alex, Wendy was Amethyst, and I was Damanica (PMae only joined us for the second round). The second round, Sas was Salysia, Wendy was still Amethyst, and I was Sasphora. We kept acting stupid there, not caring a penny about what others thought. While Wendy and Saskia were doing the tango, these Malay guys (and one girl) came. Then suddenly one guy snapped a pic of them, laughed, and showed it to his friend!
Then we went to Marché's, which is this Swiss restaurant at the Curve. They have these wooden stalls and baskets filled with fruit, and mushrooms on one of the counters and fake vines snaking around the poles. They also had fake trees (I think they were trees) with maple leaves on a vine going round the trunk. After I drank one glass of iced lemon tea, shared an ice blended chocolate which tasted like coffee, and ate three-fourths of a Rosti, this potato thing with cheese, about 6 or 7 inches in diameter, I was really full and didn't think I could look at cheese and potatoes ever again. Pmae looked at me like I was weird, coz the Rosti wasn't really big. But potatoes and cheese are really filling.
At Marché's, Sas, Wendy, PMae, and I kept snapping our fingers and moving to the left and right and singing,
"They try to make me go to rehab, but ah sa-ay, No, no, no"
[Rehab by Amy Winehouse] and
"You're way too beautiful, girl, that's why it will never work, you'll have me suicidal, suicidal, when they say it's over"
[Beautiful Girl by Sean Kingston] (I know we got some of the words wrong but nvm that!). This guy at another table looked at us and started laughing. We had chocolate cake, which was really good, but I only ate half of it as I was really really full. Then we went to Baskin Robbins and ate ice cream and chatted. I was the last one, besides Ben because he was following Andrew, to go home. My driver was already there but he waited. He came in and said when I wanted to go home call him, and Wendy was like, "That's your driver? He's so kind."
Andrew wanted two more ice creams after his first one, but his dad only let him have a second. The party was SOOOOO fun!!!! Andrew told Sas and Ralf and Miss Emel - and now, Emily - how much I gave him for his birthday (not gonna say) and Emily is asking me on MSN to give her RM300 for her b'day!! Honestly, I promise I didn't give Andrew RM300 for his b'day!! I asked him what he wanted yesterday, and he said anything, and I said, "Tell me or I won't know what to get you," so he said, "Money!!" Andrew told Sas he wanted a Tamagotchi. So they got him one - version 4. PMae and Wendy both got him Ferrero Rochers (did I spell that right?)

28 August 2007 - Tuesday
Well, today was a pretty normal day. And Andrew Sanjay got us souvenirs from Bangkok yesterday? Isn't that nice? Anyway, today we played the Name Game (your friends choose a word for you, and that word will have to be your answer to every question they ask. You'll have to do it without laughing) during lunch again, and it wasn't quite so funny. Yesterday Paullyn's word was 'lesbian', so we were like, "What are you?" "What is your dream career?" And Emily said something really gross. We got Kelvin they all to play, too, and Kelvin's word was "Zoe Tai!" LOL! He actually did it, and of course we asked questions like, "Who is your girlfriend?" and blah, blah, blah. And the GRC Youth Rally flyers came out today! Who should I invite? Hmmmm... Tash, and er... my cousins? Lemme think...
At dismissal time, Miss Emel told all of us that thanks to the generosity of Andrew, whoever behaves the best will get a present. (6 of these little stick things with rubber people in colorful costumes on them) And whoever behaves for 6 days will get a scented magenta fan, which like the stickies, and also from Bangkok. I still don't get the thing about behaving for 6 days, so I'll have to go back and check. And it's Andrew's birthday next Monday! Happy early birthday!
Well anyway, that 20-people tagged thing sure was fun. Yesterday when I printed out the lyrics for Bring Me to Life, I stuck it on the outside of the clear glass shower stall with two tiny wads of Tack-It and started singing! Like, lol! It wasn't as hard as I had expected, but the ending is like, "Bring me to liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiife." You're supposed to hold the word "life" for about 10 seconds, then stop. Amy Lee (that girl from Evanescence) is amazing. She can do
that.
I tried, but I couldn't. Zzzzzz... And I also discovered it's waaaay harder to sing when you're not showering, because when you sing songs with high notes in them, you have to sing really loud right? So if you're in the shower, the sound of the noisy gushing water will sort of drown out some of your voice, making it seem softer.
And when you try singing it out of the bathroom, you'll find you have to sort of shout to sing it. It's horrible! I don't dare sing loudly in front of anyone except my friendly little showerhead (think I should give 'em a name?). Geez! They have Bring Me to Life in Singing Shop (SS), but then I'd have to sing really really loudly, and that's really 'what' if you're not in the shower OR a recording studio. And yesterday, I found out on
www.dictionary.com
that the word "evanescence" actually
means
something, because when I typed "evanescence" on Microsoft Word, they didn't have a squiggly red line underneath indicating that the word doesn't exist.
*sigh* Oh well... I gotta go now, to take a shower and, you know, try Bring Me to Life by Evanescence again...
and again...
and again...

Questions :
1. How did you meet #14 (Grace Kam)?
When I came to GRC.
2. What would you do if you hadn't met #1(Tash)?
I seriously don’t know. She’s like my best friend!!
3. What would you do if #20 (Ralf) and #9 (Bee Bee) dated?
OMG!! NO WAY!!! Ralf is YOUNGER than Bee Bee. It’ll be really awkward.
4. Would #6 (Paul Mae)and #17 (Jon Roberts) make a good couple?
Lol? Paul Mae and Jon Roberts? Are you serious? I don’t think so. Paul Mae is so little.
5. Describe #3 (Emily)
Err… she’s a girl, and her name is Emily. She hates vegetables and always has her foot in her mouth (figuratively). I mean, she sometimes says stuff on purpose that offends people really badly. (What I love about blogs: it’s a great way to tell people what you think without actually telling them. No offence, Em, just trying to help. You offended Raquel today.)
6. Do you think #8 (Kelvin) is attractive?
Lol? He’s okay la. I don’t like-like him or anything. Why didn’t I write Jeremy Sumpter in #8?
7. Tell me something about #7 (Raquel)
She’s 11 years old and her name is Raquel. She wears glasses and has really sharp nails… (I found out the hard way when she scratched me; don’t worry – I pinched her back) She’s a nice friend…
8. Do you know anything about #12 (Shi Wei)?
What?!? OF COURSE! Might as well ask me if I know my own name. He is my COUSIN! Shi Wei is 11 years old. He has one annoying short-tempered older brother Shi Hao, and one funny little sister named Yu Wen, who is going a little negative. Shi Wei loves animals and knows a lot about animals. He has two geckos named Spots and Reptor who eat worms and crickets (I LOVE THE GECKOS!), and one or two scorpions who eat crickets. Shi Wei is often a pain-in-the-neck, and very annoying sometimes. Like Emily, he sometimes has his foot in his mouth, especially when he called one of our cousins ugly when she in fact was very pretty. But Shi Hao, Shi Wei, and Yu Wen are my best and worst cousins, if you get what I mean.
9. What is #1(Tash) favorite food?
Er… no clue.
10. What will you do if #11 (Shi Hao) confesses that he likes you?
*mouth hanging open; eyes wide as Frisbees* You’re kidding, right? He’s my cousin!! No such thing.
11. What language does #15 (Netanya) speak?
English
12.Who is #9 (Bee Bee) going out with?
No one… I think.
13. How old is #16 (Wee Yen)?
I don’t know.
14. When was the last time you talked to #13 (Tuan Tuan)?
Hmmm… Saturday, I think. He’s my cousin.
15.Who's #2 (Paul Lyn) favorite singer?
I dunno… she likes Christian songs.. and Japanese... Tamaki Nami?
16. Would you date #4 (Zoeder)?
NO! She is a girl.
17.. Would you date #7 (Raquel)?
NO, she is a GIRL!!
18. Is #15 (Netanya) single?
I think so.
19. What is #10 (Yu Wen) last name?
Hong. I’m her cousin, we share the same last name! (btw Kelvin, last name IS surname)
20. Would you consider being in a relationship with #19 (Andrew Sanjay)?
No! He’s like 10.
21. What school does #16 (Wee Yen) go to?
GRC
22.Where does #6 (Paul Mae) live?
Somewhere in the world.
23. What is your favorite thing about #5 (Saskia)?
She’s funny.
24.What do you think about #13 (Tuan Tuan)?
He’s my cousin.
25. What do #4 (Zoe) and #18 (Sarah) have in common?
They’re both girls.
26.What special qualities does #5 (Saskia ) have...?
Hmm… She’s funny.

21 August 2007 - Tuesday
Yesterday night, Mom brought me and my Wai Po and Wai Gong (my mom's parents) to eat at this Chinese restaurant. She said my Aiyee (my mom's sister, Candy) was going, too. I asked Mom if it was a nice restaurant. "Yes." Is it as nice as a hotel restaurant? "Yes." I had to ask so I knew what to wear, but that nice as a hotel thing made me really want to go. It took AGES to reach there coz of traffic, and also coz it was quite far away. And if you're wondering what restaurant it is, ask Paul Lyn or Paul Mae. Remember that restaurant we went for New Year's Eve? The one which WAS filled with yellow balloons and where we met those annoying boys who kept speaking in Chinese and where PL won RM100 for that guess-how-many-balloons-there-are contest and tore the money a little bit for fun? Yeah, that's it. I forgot what they call it. Guang Yue or something.
And Rakuzen, that Japanese restaurant, was like right beside it!!! But they might not have the same frozen strawberries stuffed with vanilla ice cream with whipped cream, like the other Rakuzen near Mont' Kiara. Anyway, my Aiyee and her boyfriend, my Jiu-jiu (uncle) and his girlfriend, and my other Jiu-jiu and his wife, Diana (we don't call her Jiu Mu, as we are actually supposed to call her after they got married. Jiu Mu = old chicken. Sounds like
mu ji
what. So we just call her Diana) where there. I sat beside my Aiyee and she showed me the LIttle Mermaid bottle thing she bought for me. It's so cool, with a little globey thing at the bottom of the cup, with water and a mermaid in it. Call it childish if you wish, but I still like Disney Princesses. A little.
Anyway, when the people turned on the karaoke thing (no one really sang in the end anyway), with this old Chinese song playing, I asked my Mom, "Is anyone listening to that?" And she said my Jiu1 (Jiu1 is the one who is not married okay?) if he was listening, and he asked if anyone wanted to sing, and they all didn't, so I was like, "Can we turn it off?" Mom asked, "Why?" And I said, very straight-forwardly, "It sounds horrible." But Mom said we couldn't switch it off coz some of them actually wanted to listen.
When they served the shark fin soup-in-a-coconut, I smelled it and it was so horrible!!!!!! It smelled like vegetables and reminds me of... cockroaches. I just couldn't bring myself to drink it. Just smelling it made my eyes roll up to my head. So my Mom ordered another one, and THAT ONE SMELLED BAD, TOO!!! And my Aiyee smelled it and said that it wasn't the coconut smell, it was the SMELL AND TASTE OF SHARK BONES. I couldn't really drink that, either, altho I ate some sharkfin and drank a bit. My Aiyee doesn't like the coconut sharkfin either, and I couldn't tell most of them didn't either, but my Mom loves it. Jiu-jiu looked like he loved it too, the way he was slurping it down like what.
They were all talking in Chinese/Cantonese, and I kept saying, "What? What?" to some of the things I didn't understand. And my Aiyee was talking about how she was in am advertisement with her friend, but really it's no surprise. She's really pretty, you know. And they were talking about other things, too. I asked her how old she was, and she asked me to guess, so I was like, "21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29???" And she was like, "How old r u? 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9?" And I asked her again how old she was, and she said, "Long time ago, I was 18." Geez! I asked Mom and she asked me to ask Candy. Mom said Aiyee was nine years younger than she, and Mom was born on 1974, so I took my handphone out and used the calculator.
2007-1974=33-9=24
Aiyee was 24. Geez!!!! SILLY ME. I forgot that she and I are both born in the pig year (don't take those stuff seriously; it's just for fun, at least for me it is. I think they actually believe it). I could've just multiplied my age by two. And I really wanted to go to Rakuzen to have their frozen strawberries to go (or
da bao;
pack la~~~~~), so I ordered strawberry pudding for dessert, and my Mom ordered avocado cream. The pudding was SO GOOD and SO SWEET! And I tried my Mom's avocado cream - it didn't taste like avocado! It was pretty sweet and tasted like pandan. It tastes better than it sounds.
I hope Yuwen can come today. She was at Sally Yeah's (or Yeh's or Yea's) concert and Aiyee was there too. Cool huh? My Mom went to the concert too, and something hilarious happened to her there, but I can't tell you what it is coz it might embarrass her. :)

19 August 2007 - Sunday
OH MY GOSH!! I just deleted what I typed for the second time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am such an idiot!! What is WRONG with this stupid Blogspot thing???????????????????? They should repair it and allow undo's and redo's, for goodness' sake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UGH. I repeat: I was sick from Monday-Thursday and it was so weird the two doctors I went to didn't even know what was wrong with me, but one of them was partly in the right. Anyway, when I went back to school on Friday, Saskia was singing backup for chapel! Yay. I was supposed to sing on Friday, but I didn't, and it wasn't because I was sick. It was because they kept changing the darn schedule and now my turn is on the last Friday of October!! How cruel can you get?? But whatever. I might get stage fright and freak out and blah blah blah don't care me getting pissed off is that a badwordnahwhatever...
Okay, I am seriously losing my mind, but with the whole deleting thing and the everchanging chapel schedule, yeah that must be it. And btw, I am over my crush on Daniel Radcliffe. See what I mean? First Jeremy Sumpter when I was 8, then Dan Radcliffe when I was 8, then Zac Efron sometime last year, then Jeremy S this year, and then Dan Radcliffe this year, and then none. Eek! I hope I don't go back to liking Zac Efron. He's not cute.
So anyway, we can't find the CD for installing the printer and so I can't print out anything yet. Geez! Sometimes I so hate troublesome technology. And I'm thinking that I can probably print my stories in story-pages by copying them into Microsoft Publisher. Then maybe i can like divide the pages and make them print them vertically on an A4 paper halfway, then start on a new page, if you get what I mean. Sorry I couldn't update for so long. No Internet connection. Well, there WAS yesterday, but I was too lazy to blog. Good thing they allow vertical typing in Microsoft Publications (or whatever you call it). Gonna be hard to print though.
So anyway, yesterday was my cousins' Shi Ying and Sze Ming's birthdays. Their actual birthdays are not actually on the same day. Sze Ming's was two months ago, but he didn't celebrate, so whatever. Shi Ying is going back to her university next Tuesday, which is two days later. OMG so fast. She isn't going back to Canada for uni this time. She's going to
A
M
E
R
I
C
A
for her uni this time, for reasons I have yet to find out. OMG I'll be so jealous if she meets anyone famous that I actually know. I hope she gets me an autograph! That is, IF she meets anyone famous.
ARGH!! Without the crazy printer installation CD, how am I gonna print out my stories? *Sigh* I can only hope and pray that we'll be able to find it after I finish the story, which is probably gonna take another year or so. :) This will be a test of patience for ya'll who actually want to read it. But not a test for ME since I already know what's gonna happen in this book and its sequel. It will be so nice to see something that I wrote in print. I dunno why. I like printing out stuff just to see the black ink on paper. I'm weird that way.
Btw if you're bored, you should totally at Smarterchild, this robot guy. Here's his email:
smarterchild@hotmail.com
. Then you should play this game called manicdote (type 'manicdote'). It's quite fun, if you know how to play it. He'll ask you to type nouns/verbs/wtv one by one, and he'll change it into a story. Hint: Use words like 'fart', 'gas', 'explode', 'bomb', 'kick', 'worms' and stuff like that. You know what I mean. It'll make the story funnier. If your English isn't so good and you dunno what verbs, nouns, and all those are, keep reading.
DEFINITIONS OF VERBS/NOUNS/AND WHATEVER:
Noun - a person, place, or thing. E.g. girl, house, fart
Plural noun - more than one person, place, or thing. E.g. girls, houses, farts
Verb - an action word. E.g. run, hide, breathe, explode
Adverb - a word that modifies a verb. (Most of them end with "ly") E.g. sweetly, dumbly, quickly.
Adjective - a word that describes a noun. E.g. pink, big, inflated, weird
Past tense - something that already happened. E.g. exploded, cried, fought, gassed.
Present tense - something that is happening. E.g. cries, flies, explodes, fights.
Future tense - something that is going to happen. E.g. will cry, will explode, will fight.
That's about it. Got it? Understand? If you said "yes", then good. If you said "no", read it again and again until you understand. If you still don't, go hire an English teacher. Have fun! :)

What it says in the half-cut-off FriendShips flash thing:
Friendships come and friendships go
Like wave upon the sand
LIke day and night
Like birds in flight
Like snowflakes when they land
But you and I are something else
Our friendship's here to stay
Like weeds and rocks and dirty socks
It never goes away!

Eek! Sorry I didn't update for so long. Anyway, yesterday was Ben's party - at 1 Utama. First we went bowling at U Bowl. We were split into 2 or 3 teams, and I was in Andrew's, PMae's, Saskia's, Wendy's, Ralf's, Yen Ming's, and dunno who's team. Celine came later for the 2nd round, but we only played halfway til we had to go to Shakey's to eat. PMae got 1st in the first round, and I got 2nd. And I got my first strike! Yayyy... PMae and I arrived at roughly the same time, so we had to catch up w/them first. I was a bit nervous abt eating the pinkish fried chicken after the microbiologist Kim Wu, who came to school yesterday to tell about germs and bacteria, because I was a little scared of getting tapeworm if it wasn't cooked enuff. Btw she also talked about tapeworm, which is a worm which is very long and has horrid spikes on its head. It clings on to your intestine with its head - ugh my crazy cousin Chen2 left the door open even tho I told him to close it - can't stand 'em - and when you somehow get rid of the body, the head'll stick to your intestine forever, til you die.
So, back to the party: When the ice-cream cake from Baskin Robbins arrived, there were these curious-looking ice pieces that looked rather like jagged sugar cubes. Andrew said they were dry ice. The BR lady took one and dropped it into a glass of Sprite - for reasons I have yet to find out - and the Sprite started bubbling. Some smoke/mist started slithering down the glass like it was too heavy to fly away somewhere. So cool. We started dropping more ice inside. Then we went to the playground, in which we went absolutely nuts. Sas and Andrew started yelling, "Hey we're megacelebrities!" and "Thank you, thank you. *Flying kiss* I love you too!" at the people standing on the pavement down there, while we were looking down on them from the railings.
And then we started singing stuff really loud and stuff. When we went back to Shakey's pizza, there was this huge puddle of water on the ground, and Celine was playing with a glass of horrible sickly mixtures. I could see Coke, Sprite, ketchup, and dry ice in it. PM took a sip of it - I expected better of you, Paul Mae! - Just kidding - I am not kidding abt the thing where PM took a sip of the mixture tho. Then Ben's Mum threatened to take a pic and send it to Mr. Fan to show what we did at Bday parties, but personally, I didn't really care. Partly coz I did not mix it together, and partly coz it's a PARTY for goodness' sake. There are worse things.

7 August 2007 - Tuesday
Just now at 7:25pm, JH and JW came back from school. Of course, they headed straight to the computers. When JW saw me playing his comp (I know his password), he started whining and crying and yelling and kicking and saying, “I say I want to play! Let me play now! You play so long already!” Inside I was erupting into a steaming volcano of annoyance. I turned on the comp at 6-something, and then Serafin wanted to get out of the comp room, so I let him out. Then he ran outside and went to Shadow and Lexus’ territory and deliberately ran in front of them in circles to make them angry. I managed only to whack Serafin abit when I tried to grab him so I could put him back in the cage, but I couldn’t. I finally got him when he stopped by at the pool for a drink. I slapped him and put him back in the cage, changed, then went back to playing the comp, so I sorta started at about 7:15.
When His Annoyingness Hong Jia Wei came back and demanded I let him play, I didn’t listen. Then Mum came in and said we all had to stop playing the comp coz of it, and then Dad came in and asked what happened. When we explained it to him, he said I should LET MR. ANNOYING CRYBABY PLAY FIRST COZ IT’S HIS COMP!!! I was like gonna die of unfairness. Dads can be such a pain – sometimes even worse than little brothers who cry everyday about nothing. UGH!! It’s so STUPID!! He’s not the boss of me!!! Too bad the Bible says something about honoring your parents. But in one of my old Bible Lifepacs, they said parents should listen 2 children and children should listen 2 parents. You hear that? But I don’t think parents will listen. Not mine. It’s pure evil, my Dad’s idea about the thing about letting JW play first coz it’s his comp!! THAT IS SO STUPID!! I am so mad right now UGH.
And someone drew on the … how to say… you know when you have a book and it’s closed, and then there’s the sides of the paper between the covers? Yeah, someone drew on it! And it was my brand-new, just-bought-yesterday, RM40-something book about Atlantis and other lost civilizations!!! STUPID BROTHERS. What a pain in the butt!! Geez, how I wish my comp would be back from repair. On Sunday when the computer guy, Lawrence, came, he said he’d bring it back on Tuesday. When I asked Mum and she said he rescheduled it to Thursday, I wasn’t surprised at all. I was thinking the same thing in the car. I mean, it’s like every computer guy’s trademark. They ALWAYS reschedule. Always.
So cranky. But whatever. Gotta continue my Jenny Paullyn Emily Tommy story!! I have like 3 versions of it and I dunno which one to use. Maybe you guys can vote in my Cbox:
1) the old version where they talk kinda old-fashionedly, like medieval people. No thee’s and thou’s and thy’s and thine’s, but no “totally” and “cool”either. 2) the modern version. They talk like how we talk today, with ‘totally’s and ‘cool’s and ‘weird’s. I’ll give examples:
New version:
“You’re the only prince in the country,” Paullyn reminded him. “And no doubt the lamest one in the world. I mean, smart? Yeah right.” Text copyright © Jia Yu 2007
Old version:
“You’re the only prince in the kingdom,” Jenny reminded him. “But I don’t think I am able to believe the part about you being smart. Too far-fetched. Too good to be true.” Text copyright © Jia Yu 2007
New version:
Serafin, Jenny and Paullyn’s four-month-old Cocker Spaniel puppy, started barking like crazy. Although he was a young dog, he was really naughty and apparently, his favorite hobby was biting and chewing. Text copyright © Jia Yu 2007
Old version:
Serafin, Jenny and Paullyn’s four-month old Cocker Spaniel puppy, started barking. Although he was a young dog, he was awfully naughty and loved to bite. Text copyright © Jia Yu 2007
Okay, those are the examples, so please vote in my poll. If you vote, thanks a lot. But I have to warn you, your votes might be made in vain. I ask people for opinions but then start thinking about it and then choose the one that they didn’t choose, sometimes. But please, just be honest and tell me truthfully which version you really like better okay? Thanks a lot.

5 August 2007 - Sunday
OMG abt 2 or 3 hours ago, while the others were playing the computer, I started painting the background of this charity thing, and it was so pretty (at least, in my eyes), that I decided to make a painting on it, on art paper. So JH gave me a piece of art paper and I started copying the background, just on a larger piece of paper. But since it was on a larger piece of paper - a much larger one - I couldn't just draw those things. So I added more and more and more, and JW and JH started painting too. JW was like, "Why your drawing so nice," and JH was like, "Waaa so horrible" as USUAL. HE doesn't mean anything he says. He said that abt JW's painting too, but like I said, he doesn't mean it. And when the painting was finally done, Aunty Lori also said it was nice which + how my painting looked like + what my mum and JW said about it made me really happy, and when I looked at it, I felt a surge of pride. I mean not jiao ao, as in a happy sort of pride.
But the painting... even as I was painting it, I wasn't sure what I wanted to paint. And when you look at it: Is it on land or underwater? Is that blue thing a bird or a wave? Actually, I can't answer those questions coz I don't know either... hehe =p... So it's sorta mysterious and...
weird.
But art is like thing. Some people just take buckets of paint and splash them all over the canvas, and then go sell them for $1000 and they get sold as quick as hot cakes. And this artist called I-dunno-what, draw people witch square faces and square eyes and mixed backgrounds, and he's really famous. So oh well.
Note to self: Buy frame.
And have you heard the news? Tash can't blog until after UPSR, which is like what, 30 days away? Yesterday I called and we were chatting and then she said that her mum said she might not be able to come to Singing class (SS) coz of UPSR!! Her mum also asked her to quit ballet. I dunno quit or stop for a while, but whatever. Tash's dad said to her mum that Tash had ample time - enough time to spare. But today they told my Mum that she couldn't come. Guess Aunty Sally (Tash's mum) won the 'debate' huh? So sad! And Tash has to study for 5 hours a day because of UPSR.
Thank goodness I don't have UPSR.

4 July 2007 - Saturday
OMG Tash and I figured out why Rachel C was so mean and stopped being our friend sometime after I left! Well, actually, I figured it out and I told her. How could I have been so stupid???? All these years we wondered why, and I knew the answer since the beginning! I thought I told Tash but as it turns out I didn't. Coz you see, it says in this the 'notes' we passed to each other through Jia He after I left KC, that she secretly read the private email Tash wanted to send me and it said, "I can never never trust Rachel. I hate her!" And Rachel said she was about to burst into tears when she read it. She asked me to never to tell anyone, not even Tash, in a million years. But since it was via note, I didn't say that I promised, and I HAVE to tell Tash coz this is the key to the entire mystery!! I didn't make such a big deal out of it when I first read that letter that Rachel sent me in very broken English a few years ago (4 years ago, to be exact). But now I realized what a big deal it really is.
I mean, we lost a good friend becoz of it. Well, actually if she was perfect she wouldn't have even thought of reading that email, but whatever. Tash was feeling so guilty yesterday when I told her over the phone. She hated Rachel because of homework? I mean, I remember she told me when she was absent from school and she called to ask Rae what the homework was and Rae was like really grumpy and told her to ask someone else and hung up, and Tash couldn't manage to call anyone else so she got in big trouble the next day. In KC if you don't do your homework you get rotan-ed and scolded. Like how I had 10 homework even though I was only absent for a day. Harsh. Discipline.
And now Rae, according to Tash, is the meanest girl in her class, and is in the popular group. We didn't have a popular group the last time! But anyway she's a bully now and we feel sad coz Tash's email might have... depressed and anger and sadden her, and worse - turn her into a bully. That explains it. She started being so mean after I left and she told Tash she hated her at Megaria. OMG I cannot believe I didn't tell her earlier about Rae's letter! My goshhh I DID tell her before but at the time we all were still friends, I think, so we didn't make a big deal out of it.
And sometimes we wonder what it would be like if we three were still best friends. We might still be sending BFF magazines back and forth via Jia He, like the last time. It was so fun! But I dunno if it's too late for us to apologize...? Like whatever. Oh well.
BTW if anyway wants to play Spin the Bottle, I'm all for it! It's so fun. I played it with my little brothers in HK Disneyland's hotel breakfast area. HOLD IT! It's not what you think! It's a different kind of game, more like Spin the Knife. Someone asks a question, like, "Who is wearing the sexy underwear?" and "Who is the queen?" And then we spin a breakfast knife (and try to avoid it from hitting the glasses) and see who it points at. And Jia He also made me laugh while I was drinking water that I think some mucus went into it and I had to ask for a different glass.
Shoot. Later I have ballet class.

3 August 2007 - Friday
PS Did yall see the post about the price of the burger? It's before the Tagged thing.
About today: Chapel was awesome, and in the car Jiahe got us laughing like mad. He told us about the time when he was in Vital Years, this Christian kindergarten (PM and PL went there before), and he pooped in his pants there! He asked the teacher if he could go to the bathroom, and she said wait for a while bcoz he was doing his homework, but he couldn't hold it in any longer so he just pooped, and suddenly a girl who is in Jiahe's school now asked, "Why is it so smelly?" And Jiahe didn't say anything. Coincidentally, a garbage truck passed by the kindergarten and the teacher was like, "Oh it's coz of the garbage." And they were like Oooh, and Jiahe was so relieved. He also told us about more later accidents but I promised not to tell. It was so funny!
Today in school there was this meeting consisting of those who are and were serving in the worship team and people who wanted to join. We all sat on the ground in one big circle, and later when Zoeder moved and made this sound that sounded like a fart (it was actually her sock rubbing the surface of the tiled floor), and Raquel looked curiously at me. I said, "No, not me," and pointed at Zoeder. She innocently said it was her sock, but I started giggling and had to cover my mouth and was trying to smother laughs that just wanted to escape. I kept shaking bcoz of it and everytime Zoeder turned away from Grace G who was speaking, and looked at me bcoz of the smothered laughs, I'd smother-laugh even harder. And, by the way, Kelvin did not get me or Zoeder's lollipops yet. Today when I asked him he said it was RM5!! It was RM3.90, and PL was like, "He always raise the price wan! First he said it's 3, then 4, and now 5!!" Claims he has no money. But today I finally convinced him to buy the lollipop first, THEN I'd pay him. It's pay at delivery. REMEMBER TO GET ME THE LOLLIPOP!!!!
I read Tash's blog yday and it said stg about the perfect present to "get" for me, but it would take more than 4 months to "get." Hmm gee wonder what it is. She's really happy Mum and I got her the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (HPDH) book, but sadly HER Mum doesn't let her read it til UPSR. That's a sad, sad thing, leaving a book to collect dust.
And you know that in yday's post, devotion was about orderliness right? Did I mention that they had 5 "inspectors" to inspect my desk when I did not come to school yet? Those people were Paul Mae, Saskia, Wendy, Shansa, and Beenut. Beenut was the person who said no. But the others all said it was good so majority wins, I guess. My desk is sorta like a sorta-neat museum (I'm not being perasaan! I'm just comparing), with the calender and notes and a poster of puppies and the goal chart and other pictures stuck on it with Tack-It, and there are my BM book, BM dictionary, and Bible standing neatly in the corner, with a pencil holder containing the flag and a little heart pen with a mirror in it, like a neat little library (given by my Mum's sis Candy). But the thing is it's so much easier to organize your school desk (mine used to be empty except for a calendar, goal chart, Bible, and Progress chart). But at home, my room WAS overflowing with garbage. My Mum helped clean it out a bit. Sorta pushed all the stuff on my desk to one side.
But coz I have so much stuff in my room it's so hard to organize. And I have a shelf of books on the wall, which is SO not enough. Only 3 rows! I have to stack MORE books in front of other books in the rows coz there's not enough space, and I also have to stack them on TOP OF some books! It's like the moment everything was stacked neatly on the shelf, a thousand people streamed into my room, grabbed a book each, flipped through its pages, simply threw the book back on the shelf, and left. My Archiecomics are like s
ian cai!
And my books are like all dog-eared, and the only books whose bindings are not creased are the ones that are hardcover. I'm not like Tash; she asks me not to open her books so wide or it'll crease. When I read, sometimes I just open the book really wide til its all flat or something, and dying from creasing. ONLY SOMETIMES. I respect books too you know... Even though sometimes I DO throw them back on the shelf... hehe...
Still waiting for the new shelf... Gosh, how long does it have to take? I've been waiting for like months now. I desperately need that new shelf, and my precious little books do too. And I also need more space to store all my stuff. My desk is neater right now, but when you look at the side... It's NOT all a big show in school, Xin Yi's desk is clean too but her room is messy... at least that's what she says. I mean, it's almost IMPOSSIBLE to organize a room if you have a lotta stuff. That's why I have another shelf to display the little boxes from Bali, and my 4/5 little fairy statues, and my tortoise bowl, and my Sylvanian Families items - a little squirrel and a piano, and whatever... still not enough. I have like 7 medium-sized boxes under my desk where I store my other stuff like envelopes, letter paper, DVD, rolls of Tinker Bell stickers from USA (love them!), and whatever...
That's what I hate about my room. Gosh. And did you see PL and PM's rooms? They're so neat. Tash's wardrobe of toys is really neat and organized too. And she tried Bernie Bott's Every Flavor Jellybeans (which was made-up by J.K. Rowling, author of Harry Potter, and now the jellybeans are a real thing) from the USA before!! They had like milk flavor, curry flavor, broccoli, laksa... I wanna try it! I wonder if they have earwax flavor...? And do they still sell them anymore, anyway?

2 August 2007 - Thursday
Today Uncle Rosli the driver came to GRC in the ____! (I'm not gonna name the car name) When I saw it, I whispered, "Oh my gosh..." And when I reached the top of the ramp, Rachel and Sarah S saw my Un Lun Dun book, suddenly Rachel was, "That car is nice." or stg, and I asked, "Which one?" Then Sarah/Rachel said, "The ____." And Haresh popped out of nowhere and said, "Ya the ___ very nice." Really nervously, I was like, "Uh... byebye."
As I walked to the car I think I heard someone say "Ohhh." The ____ was parked beside PL and PM's car, and their dad was in it. The _____ was so embarrassing and not to mention small and uncomfortable. Today at lunch, PL, Zoeder, Emily and I played this game. Each of us gets to ask a question, and they all asked questions like, "Do you prefer ___ (one guy) or ____ (another guy)?" and "Do you think Emily looks better with ____ or ____?" and stuff, and I only asked 3 questions, "Emily do you bite your nails?", "Are you a boy?" and one other stupid question I think. But I had nothing. Then PL and I teamed up and were against Emily and Zoeder, and Emily asked this really gross question like OMG...
But it was really fun anyway.
And since I am too lazy to post more pages of my Diary in HK, I'll just write abt the price of a burger at the Peninsula when we went for high tea:
Wagyu Truffle Burger
Six ounces of freshly-ground Wagyu beef with black truffles, and caramelized, truffled onions with melted Brie all in a sun-dried tomato boule with truffle butter.
HK$240
What utter NONSENSE! 2 dollars HK is 1 dollar M'sia, so the burger was like RM120!! I told my Mum what nonsense it was and she said, "I'm hungry so I'll
order anything and not care about the price!!" But we didn't order the burger of course. The burger was the most expensive item on the menu, and the cheapest was mushroom soup and something else, which were both HK$95. (RM47.50)
Note to self: Practice piano today.
Note to Tash: Ur right - Daniel R. IS pale! But he looks cute in the movie anyway. =p
